Project Pan Empties - April

Hello lovelies!
Well it's that time again! Project Pan empties. There is really not that many this month, and most of them are hand creams.  I am really trying to get through them all, I have soo many!

First up is Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy in Rosewater. I got this for free with purchase of some magazine, I cant remember which one though.  This scent on this is soo strong. It's just overpowering. I cannot even use it if my husband is home, as it actually starts to bring on his seasonal allergies. I am not a rose fan anyway, so I would definitely not buy this.

Next is Essence Snow Jam 24h Hand Protection Balm.  Another one I didn't buy, I won the whole Snow Jam collection and this was one of the items.  I quite like this cream!  It has shea butter and coconut oil in, and while it is heavy, it doesn't leave a yucky feel on my hands. Would definitely buy it, but sadly I don't think it's available in Australia.

Last hand item is Lucas PaPaw Ointment.  I cannot stand this! I bought to use on my cuticles, and honestly I could of just bought a tub of Vaseline, it feels the exact same.  I ended up leaving it next to my bed and popping it on my cuticles before I went to sleep.  Definitely would not buy it again.

Very last is my Original Source Shea Butter and Honey Shower gel. I honestly think I have had an Original Source shower gel in every one of my Project Pan posts lol  This is not my favourite of theirs that I have tried, I think the shea butter makes it feel like it doesn't rinse off properly.  Still an awesome gel for the price though!

Till next time!

Kikki K Planner

Hello lovelies!
It feel like forever since I have posted here, and I guess it has been about 3 weeks. School holidays just finished here, and I always get a bit slack at that time of year.

We went to see the new Lego Movie over the holidays. We are big Lego fans in this house, seems my son is always building something new. The movie was absolutely hilarious, I think my hubby and I enjoyed it just as much as our son did!

Anyway, today I have something completely different to share with you.  Lately I have become slihgtly obsessed with planners. I have a bit of trouble keeping myself organized, and I have tried to use apps on my phone, but I am just not feeling it. I follow Lissas Loves on IG, and after seeing her pics of her gorgeous Filofax, I knew I had to have one!  They are not at all cheap, but I luckily found some awesome ones on Catch Of The Day, an Australian deal website. I ended up getting a chocolate brown personal size Sketch.   I am so glad I did, it is lovely! I will share some pics of it in a different blog post. :)

I soon realized though, that it wasn't going to be big enough for everything I wanted to put in there, so I decided to get an A5 size as well. I was going to get another Filofax, but then Emma from Nails In The Desert showed me the gorgeous Kikki K ones, and I knew I had to have it!

This is how it looks when you open the shipping container. Look how cute the box is!

So beautiful! There was this grey and also berry to choose from, but I loove grey so knew I had to have this one.

This is what you see when you open the planner. I adore the contrast of the pink lining and grey leather.

It comes with these super useful stickers/labels.

Notepad at the back.

I am soo glad I spent the money on this! The planner is $69.95, but there is free shipping within Australia for orders over $50.
I cannot wait to personalize and decorate it!
I never knew how huge the planner community was, and there is some awesome blog posts and YouTube videos on organizing and decorating your planners. Go check them out!

Till next time.

Autism Awareness Month

Hello lovelies!
Well it's been a while since I have posted here!  I have still been doing my nails, but I have just started getting into wire wrapping jewellery, so I've been spending alot of time on that. I will post some pics in a couple of days. :)

April is Autism Awareness month. A group of us ladies from the nail community have been painting our nails blue throughout the month to help raise awareness.
I started Paint It Blue last year, and was going to just paint my nails blue myself, than i let a few friends in the aussie nail community know what I was doing and they joined in, and it took off from there! We currently have over 240 members in the FB group, and even more people on Instagram doing it. It makes me so happy and grateful to see so many people taking part in it.
Anyone interested can join us. If you do, please tag your blue mani using #bluenailsforautism & #paintitblue .
You can also request to join our group on Facebook for further information.   :)

Here are a few of the manis I have done so far.

I am going blue for the whole month, so lucky I love blue polish and have a whole bunch! Have you gone blue for Autism Awareness month? I would love to see your manis if you have. :)

Till next time.

Latest Project Pan empties

Hello lovelies!
Welcome to my very small Project Pan post. I keep forgetting to keep my empties, hence the tiny post lol

First is the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Energizing Bath and Shower Gel.
Hubby bought this for me for Christmas, it came in a pack with some perfume and body cream.  Its a nice body wash, but nothing special. if i saw it again in the pack I would buy, but only because I love the perfume that comes with it. Would not buy it buy itself.

Next is one of the Original Source Shower gels, in lime.  I can't smell much of a scent on this one.
I love the Original Source shower gels though, and would rebuy this, and any of the Original Source shower gels.

Last is the Cellilux Glacial Mineral Gel. I loooove this mask!  I got this sample in one of my BellaBoxes, and just had it sitting around, till I saw Kitsch Snitch's review on it, and remembered I had it and dug it out. Its amazing. My skin felt so soft after I used it. It is not cheap though, $69 from the BellaBox website. I will definitely be buying the full size though, once I save my pennies!

Till next time!

Sportsgirl Matte Grey & feathers

Hello lovelies!
I am trying to get back into the swing of blogging, so I thought I would share todays mani with you.
A bit of background first.. some of you may remember last year I started Paint It Blue, a month long 'event' for Autism Awareness. After it was done quite a few of the group members mentioned they would like to continue on doing theme and cause manis, and thus Paint It ALL The Colours was born!  This fortnights theme is 'feathers'.
I decided to go for a delicate look, so for my base I used Matte Grey from Sportsgirl. Yes, Sportsgirl. Definitely not a store I usually go in, but this is proof I will go anywhere for nail polish.  ;)

The formula on the polish wasn't fabulous, but I find that alot with matte polishes. The second coat evened it all out, and I think a couple of drops of thinner will help. Once I put on the decals I top-coated it anyway. The grey does have a lovely shimmer, but sadly I couldn't seem to capture that in the photos.
I am very happy with how this turned out, the feathers seem to be floating in the breeze. I also just received some actual nail art feathers, so can't wait to try them out!

Till next time.

Heart Of The Ocean from Pretty Pots Polish

Hello lovelies!
Sorry it has been a while since my last post. I go through stages of blogging all the time, then nothing for a few weeks lol
Today I have the last of my review posts for Pretty Pots Polish. This is the amazing Heart Of The Ocean, inspired by the necklace Rose wore in the Titanic movie.

I love the contrast of the turquoise, neon green, garnet, and holo silver glitter!  Definitely one of my favourites from the The Cinematic Collection.

Pretty Pots Polish can be found on Etsy, and you can also follow them on Facebook and Instagram

Lust Have It - February 2014 ~ pic heavy

Hello lovelies!
After the epic fail that was my Feb Bellabox you would think I would be over beauty boxes. But I just cannot resist getting surprise mail.. lol
I know a few people who receive the Lust Have It box, and they always seem happy, so I decided to give that one a go.  I must of managed to subscribe just in time to get the Feb box, and boy am I happy I did!

Lets get right into it!

This is how I received the box. You can see below there is a note from the CEO explaining that they are in the middle of revamping, and the new boxes should be ready in a month or two.

Like most beauty boxes, you get a little card detailing what you have received. I never read these till last though, as I think they spoil the surprise!

This was interesting.. there was a coupon for a buy one get one free snack box, home delivered. I have never heard of this company, but I will definitely be checking it out!

Onto the products! First up was a Juice Beauty Green Apple peel.  I love peels, masks etc so I was very happy to see this!  This is a deluxe sample size of 7ml. Full size is 60ml and costs $65. I would not spend that amount of money on something I hadn't tried first, so I am looking forward to testing it out.

Next is a Clairol Professional Color Radiance shampoo. Now this says its a shampoo on the front, but on the info card it says it cleanses and conditions. So is it a 2 in 1? I am not sure. I am not a fan of 2 in 1's, I find it impossible to get the comb through my hair if I don't condition it as well. I will still give this a try though. I received a 50ml bottle, the full size is 250ml and retails for $13.95.

Also included was another Clairol product, a Transition Creative Spray. I am looking forward to trying this. I don't usually use alot of hairspray, but this says it remains flexible for up to one minute after application, and leaves it with a touchable texture. We shall see. ;)
This is a 50 ml sample, full size is 300ml and sells for $9.95.

This next item is something I am looking forward to trying. It's a make up brush from The Cosmetic Kitchen. Not a brand I have heard of, but if this brush is anything to go by I am definitely going to be checking them out. This brush is soooo soft!  The info card says the brushes are certified vegan and certified cruelty free, which I love. This brush is full size and sells for $22.50.

Next is a Vaseline Ultimate 10 Anti Aging body lotion.  It contains anti-ageing ingredients such as AHA, pro-retinol and, vitamin B3 and says it will protect, restore, brighten and tighten skin while giving immediate relief from dryness. Sounds good to me! This is a sample size, the full size is 750ml and costs $16.29. Quite the random price there lol

An odd inclusion was this hand wipe, the Hand Spa Bijoux.  The sample is a single hand wipe that supposedly provides a deep nourishing and moisturizing effect.  It contains hyaluronic acid, royal jelly, glycerin and soy bean extract. I have already tried this, and surprisingly really liked it!  My hands felt lovely and soft.
Info card says RRP is $1.50.. I presume that is just for one?

Last, but not least is a mineral eyeshadow from The Cosmetics Kitchen.  I will be honest, this is not a colour I would of bought for myself, but I actually quite like it. I swatched it on my arm and a little went a very long way, I can't wait to try this properly! The eye shadow is certified vegan and certified cruelty free. Full size retails at $22.50.

I am super happy with my first ever Lust Have It box, and can't wait for my next one!

Till next time!

Sweethearts Duo - PrettyPots Polish

Hello lovelies!
I have something super special to show you today.. the new Sweethearts Duo from Pretty Pots Polish. This set is a collaboration between Pretty Pots and Elissa from Lissa's Loves, to celebrate her engagement/wedding.
I have had the pleasure of meeting Elissa in person, we live in the same city and are in a few FB groups together.  She is a definite sweetheart!  ;)

'High School Sweethearts' is a sheer pale pink jelly, and 'Happily Ever After' has a clear base with a silver holographic micro-shimmer, pink, lavender, white and silver glitters in various sizes, and silver hearts.  This duo is very pretty, and I think, definitely very Elissa!

They both have a lovely formula, which you don't always find in a sheer pink jelly! The glitter went on lovely, you do need to fish slightly for the hearts, but that is normal with glitter like this, and they were quite easy to find.

This duo is available for pre-order now at Pretty Pots Polish . Official launch is on the 28th February 2014, where both polishes will be available for sale individually.

PrettyPots Polish can be found on Etsy, and they also have Facebook and Instagram.

I also want to say congratulations to Elissa and Russ on their engagement, they make a lovely couple, and we can't wait to see all your wedding pics!  :)

Till next time!

Girl in the Green Scarf - PrettyPots Polish review

Hello loves!

I know I have been quiet lately.. I have been helping someone with something very special. That's all I can say for now, more details in the next couple of days hopefully.  ;)

Today I am showing you Girl in the Green Scarf by PrettyPots Polish from the Cinematic Collection. This polish is based on Rebecca Bloomwood in the movie 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'. I will admit, I haven't seen the movie, but I have read the whole series of books and love them!

This polish is sooo gorgeous! It has a green jelly base, with matte neon pink hex, periwinkle matte hex, turquoise hex, emerald green micro, and ocean blue holo glitters.
Although this polish is opaque in 2-3 coats, I decided to layer it.
On my pointer and middle finger I have Balsam Fir from Revlon, and on my ring and pinkie is Liquid Leather from China Glaze.

I love how this looks layered. Over the black the emerald green micro glitters really pop! The contrast of the green, pink and blue glitters is stunning. Applied lovely and smooth, only needed one coat of topcoat to make it perfect. One of my new favourite polishes for sure.

PrettyPots Polish can be found on Etsy, and they also have Facebook and Instagram.  Looking forward to showing you the rest of the gorgeous polishes.  :)

Till next time!

BellaBox February 2014

Hello lovelies!
I am going to share with you today something a little different.
I recently re-signed up for BellaBox. If you don't know what that is, basically you pay $15 a month and each month you receive a box of  beauty samples/products.  I was signed up last year, but the boxes just kept going downhill, and then one box I received has a dried up half bottle of nail polish, and a funky smelling lipstick and that was the end for me.
I have been reading a few beauty blogs lately, and the last few boxes looked awesome so I thought I would give them another try.
If you have ordered the February box and don't want to know what you may get, stop reading.... now! ;)

The first thing I noticed was the new box.. they used to come in a really nice, heavy cardboard box. I have actually kept a few of them as they are handy to keep nail stuff in.  Now they just come in a shipping box that has BellaBox printed on the outside with the shipping label. Quite cheap looking to be honest.

This months theme is 'Red Carpet' so the info card was on the back of an Admit One 'ticket'.  Cute.

This is the box right after opening. 6 products plus a 'bonus'.

First product, which is the bonus, is a satchet of Swisspers Naturals Aloe Daily Moisturiser. This says it is for all skin types, so I will definitely give it a try.

Next is the Vaseline Aloe Fresh Daily Body lotion with SPF 15. This is a tiny 25ml, I can't see it lasting more than 3 days if you use it all over your body.

Up next is an Om She Aromatherapy mascara in rich brown.. Umm.. aromatherapy mascara?  I don't even know what that is supposed to mean. Plus, as you can see from the second picture, it looks like there was a seal but it has been peeled off. It's quite sticky around the opening. Its also smells funky, so if that is the 'aromatherapy' aspect of it, then I guess they nailed it.
Not happy, and have emailed BellaBox about it, I will update you as to what happens.

Now we have the BeautyShot Cosmetics Party Prep Serum. Inside this little container is 2 x 3ml bottles.  I tried a little drop on the back of my hand, it rubbed in well, and left no greasiness, so I will give this a try and let you know what I think.

Next up is an Avene soothing moisture mask. This says it's for sensitive skin. I have tried a few Avene products, and am not a fan so this will be getting passed on to someone who will use it.

The last two items are from Alfaparf. The first is a Nutritive mask, and the second is a moisture shampoo. Both items are for dry hair, which I do not have, so again more products that I can't use.

All in all, I am very disappointed with my first box as a re-subscriber.   It doesn't seem 'Red Carpet' to me at all. Hopefully the next one will be better!
Did you get your February 'Red Carpet' BellaBox yet? If you did, what did you think?

Till next time!
