Project Pan ALL The Things!

Hello lovelies!
I have decided that I am out of control with my lipstick buying.

This is my stash AFTER going through them all and throwing some out.  I just can't seem to stop buying them!  I figured if I am having a lippie clean out I may as well do all my makeup.

This is my eye shadows and eyeliners AFTER a cleanout.

I seem to have a buying problem. ;)

So I have decided to do a Project Pan.. for those who don't know what that is, it's when you stop buying beauty items until you hit pan or use up a certain number of products.  I am going to go with hitting Pan.  Most people make a few rules to go along with it, mine will basically be use up all the items before you buy more. Say I have 10 face cleansers (which is probably a very close guesstimate lol),  I have to wait until i have used all 10 before I buy more, not just use up one.  Simple.. I hope.

So, things I am adding to my Project Pan are... lipstick, eyeshadows (excepting the Urban Decay one that hubby already bought me for Christmas lol), eyeliners, shampoo and conditioners (the shower is full of them), face cleansers, shower gels and hand moisturizers.

As I finish each item I will do a review on it. :)

Wish me luck.. I will need it!

Till next time.

Wrap bracelets

Hello lovelies!
Today I thought I would show you some new bracelets i have been working on. I love any wrap/tie on bracelets, and I was so glad to finally find the right materials here in Aus to make them!

They are so easy to put on, just wrap around your wrist, tie and then tuck in the ends. Charms can be moved around gently to suit.
I have made these ones with polyester ribbon, and they are lovely and soft.
I have found online though someone who hand dyes silk for these, and of course I had to buy them! Can't wait to get them as they come in such beautiful colours.
These are available at my Gypsy Creations facebook page, or on my Etsy store, and I am more than happy to do custom orders. :)

Till next time.

Epic Nail - Nail Foil Kit review

Hello lovelies!
I am excited to share with you today a review for Epic Nails foil kits.  I haven't had much experience with foils, but they always look so awesome I couldn't wait to try them.
The Essentials Kit came in a lovely box, and contained 6 rolls, foil glue, cuticle sticks and instructions.

The instructions on the Epic Nail website say...
'Apply a very thin layer of the foil glue, wait for the glue to “go clear”.
Apply the foil with the pattern/colour side facing you.
Firmly press and rub the foil on the nail paying special attention to the back and sides of the nail.
Starting at one side peel the foil back gently. If you make a mistake use an alcohol wipe to remove the glue/foil and start again.
Apply top coat.'

I followed these instructions, apart from waiting longer than one minute for the glue to try, as I was having no luck. I waited maybe 5 minutes and that worked a lot better for me.  I also used a cotton bud to rub the foil onto the nail.

The foil in the pics below is 'All Laced Up'.

I love the rainbow holo effect in this! I put this over a silver holo, so any patchness wouldn't show as much, but as you can see I had hardly any!

Below is my first attempt.. it's not so great. This is on bare nails, and it is quite patchy, but I really think that is more from my lack of experience with foils.  But I love the colours in it, so had to share. Next time I will put this over black nail polish, I think that will look amazing. :)

All in all, I really enjoyed using the foils, apart from not being able to get them to transfer at all to start with! lol  Once I started leaving the glue to dry longer they worked great.  :)

Epic nails foils can be bought on their website at http://www.epicnail.com.au/ and they also have a Facebook page.

Till next time.

Go Team Orange!

Hello lovelies!

Today was sports day at my sons school, so of course I had to paint my nails in his team colour, which is unfortunately orange. I am not an orange fan at all!  Luckily I had recently bought Martian Sea from Pretty Serious, which is a dark burnt orange.

Love this colour, just not sure how I feel about it on me.  This is 2 coats.  Accent nail of a Nfu-Oh flakie.

As for sports day.. it wasn't great.   As some of you know, my son has Aspergers, and can be uncoordinated so sports do not come easy for him. We had a slight drama with the high jump, he would run up to it but then stop dead and not jump.  He just doesn't feel comfortable letting his body go like that. So he tried twice but then got quite upset about it.  His teacher was great though, and still gave him a token for trying.  I cried, of course. ;)

Till next time.

MLO Polish review

Hello lovelies!
I have two awesome polishes to share with you today! Both are from the MLO Polish Halloween collection.

First up is Trick or Treat. A gorgeous blend of orange/red, black and white glitters.
I layered it over Revlons Winter Mist.

This is with 2 coats. I looove the colours of this, and even though its a Halloween polish it could definitely be worn any time of the year.  The glitters didn't clump up, has perfect all over nail coverage.

The next one is Pumpkin Patch. A lovely mix of orange and green glitters.

This is 2 coats layered of Celestials Classy Comet.  It really pops over the dark colour!

MLO Polish can be bought from her Etsy store, and they also have Facebook and IG.

Till next time.

I am sharing with you today the last of my review polishes from PrettyPots Polishes. This is Granny Smith loves Pearls. I love the names she comes up with for all her polishes!  :)

Granny Smith loves Pearls is an apple green coloured base with silver and black glitters.  It's so delicate and summery, I love it!
I used 3 coats for this swatch. I think next time I will use a base colour, problem is I can't think of one to match it.. if anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them!

Pretty Pots Polish can be found on Etsy, and they also have Facebook and Instagram.

PrettyPots Polish - Poker Queen Of Hearts

Hello lovelies!
2 posts in 2 days!  Can you believe it?  ;)
I am showing you today another PrettyPots Polish, and this one I am absolutely in love with.
This is Poker Queen Of Hearts.  A beautiful blend of  gold and red glitter hearts, red glitter, silver iridescence, and black glitter specks in a translucent black base.

I layered this over Floss Gloss PartyBruise, a chocolate brown polish. I only needed to do one coat, and hardly had to fish for the hearts at all!

Pretty Pots Polish can be found on Etsy, and they also have Facebook and Instagram.

Grape Jam n' Sugar is a light purple crelly with pink, purple and silver holo glitters. This is 2 coats.

 Next up is Midnight Millions.

This is layered over Chine Glaze Electric Beat.  Midnight Millions has a lightly tinted blue jelly base.  Also packed full of gold dots, blue and silver hexes and a gold shimmer. Only one coat was needed.

Lastly is Hurricane Blurple. A gorgeous blend of purple holo glitter, deep blue holo glitters and black diamonds.

This polish is absolutely beautiful! I layered 2 coats over China Glaze Charmed, I'm sure.

MLO Polish It's Shiny, Captain - review

Hello lovelies!

Just a quick post today. I have a polish from an awesome new aussie brand to show you.. MLO Polish! I love the name as it reminds me of milo. ;)
I have 3 polishes to review, but today I am just going to show you her new chrome.. It's Shiny, Captain!  What a great name!
This is a silver grey coloured chrome polish.  I love having my nails look like metal. :)

This is 2 coats, and the formula was great.  2 coats evened it out perfectly, and  with none of those brush strokes like you can get with some chrome polishes.

MLO Polish can be bought from her Etsy store, and they also have Facebook and IG!

Till next time.

Ariel Goes To The Ball from PrettyPots Polish - review

Hello lovelies!
Today I have another awesome polish from PrettyPots Polish to share with you.
This is Ariel Goes To The Ball.  A gorgeous blend of turquoise diamonds, lavender glitter and  silver holo bars.

This is one coat layered over Natio Indigo. One coat was definitely enough, there is plenty of glitter payoff. It was very easy to apply, no clumping of the glitters at all.
Loving the sparkle in this polish!

Pretty Pots Polish can be found on Etsy, and they also have a Facebook page. Can't wait to show you the rest of the gorgeous polishes.  :)

Till next time!

Halloween Challenge 2013: Ghosts

Hello lovelies!
Yay October.. my fav time of year!  I loove Halloween, and though we don't celebrate it as such in Aus, I still enjoy it. When we lived in US it was soo much fun.. we went trick or treating every year and decorated the house. I miss the atmosphere of it over there.
Anyway, the lovely Bec from Lacquer Dreams is doing her nail art challenge again this year, and I had so much fun with last years i knew i had to join in again.

The first theme is Ghosts... oohhh spooky!  ;)

My ghosts look like something has scared them!   lol
Oh well, i enjoyed doing them anyway.  ;)

Till next time!

Pretty Pots Polish - Pink Spring review

Hello lovelies!
Today I am going to show you something that you won't see very often.. me wearing pink nail polish!   ;)
Pretty Pots Polish sent me some polish to review, and this is one of them.. Pink Spring.  I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it!
Pink Spring is a mix of blue butterflies, pale orange, lavender, mint green, and green glitter in a pale pink base. Quite a bit going on, but it all blends together perfectly!

This is only 2 coats! Applied great, no sticky up glitters at all.   Needed a top coat to smooth it all out, but most glittery polishes do.

Pretty Pots Polish can be found on Etsy, and they also have a Facebook page. Can't wait to show you the rest of the gorgeous polishes.  :)

Till next time!

Femme Fatale Burning Dusk review

Hello lovelies!
Today I have another review polish to share with you.. Burning Dusk from Femme Fatale Cosmetics.  This polish is from their new holo line, and its amazing!
Burning Dusk is a holo, but has a slight colour shift, so it goes from purple to blue.. two of my favourite nail polish colours!

*outdoor photos*

*indoor photos*

I adore this polish! Formula was perfect, I really only needed one coat, but I did two out of habit.  Flowed smoothly onto my nail.  I only have a mini, but I will definitely be getting a full size!

I used Nfu-Oh Aqua Base, and Sally Hansen Diamond Flash top coat. I always use those products when I am using holo polishes.  The topcoat doesn't like the holo like some can.

Be sure to check out Femme Fatale Cosmetics!   They don't just sell their own amazing brand of polishes, but they also stock other local and international indie brands!

Till next time!
