This page is in memory of my Nana, who passed away April 14 2006. I still can't believe it, even though it has been quite a few years. I was in the US when Nana had her stroke, and unfortunately was not able to make it home in time to see her again. She was never able to meet her great grandson (my son), which is something I will forever be sorry for. While I was home in Australia I found the poem below on a card, which I bought and now have next to a photo of me with my Nana.
Do Not Stand At My Grave
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am the thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle Autumn rain,
I am the shining star at night,
When you awake to the morning light.
My time has come, I am at rest,
I am the sunset in the west,
I am the clouds that race above,
Where I watch over those I love.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die,
So hear these words that here I say,
I am the love that guides your way.

Gone but never forgotten. We love and miss you.

Oh girl, I love what you've written and just warmth my heart. my grandpa passed away last march 18th, one month and 3 days after my son was born. My mum was here in Switzerland with me and neither of us made it to Argentina for the funeral. Next December I'll be going to Argentina for the Holidays with my child, and it will be so sad not seeing my grandpa any more. I miss him so much. And me too I'm very sad he never met his great grandson.
