Poppy Flower nails - pic heavy

Hey all!

Today I have decided to do a special mani, for Remembrance Day.
Remembrance Day is a memorial day in Australia to remember the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.
It is observed on 11 November to mark the end of hostilities of World War I.  Hostilities formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month", which is why most services are at 11am.

The red poppy has become a familiar symbol of Remembrance Day due to the poem "In Flanders Fields". These poppies bloomed across some of the worst battlefields of Flanders in World War I.

I have attempted to do some poppy flowers on my nails.. they are not perfect but I like them anyway.  ;)

I've added a few pics so you can see the gorgeous base colour I have used...  Blue Monday from Gloss n Sparkle.  On her Etsy page, Gloss n Sparkle describes this polish as  'a vibrant blue packed with white and blue glitters, and microfine holographic aqua glitter'.  This is with 3 coats, could probably get away with 2 if you don't mind very slight visible nail line.  It's just so pretty, I can't stop looking at my nails.  :)
You can buy this awesome polish from the Etsy store, or follow her on FB.
