AN Monday & Sea Siren review - part 2

Hello lovelies!
I have two manis to share with you again today, both using Sea Siren Cosmetics nail polishes.

The first is my mani for Aussie nails Monday. The theme was flowers.

For this look I used Sea Siren Cosmetics Pink Champagne on my pinkie and pointer finger, and Sea Nymph on the middle two fingers.  For such pale colours they applied quite well.  Not at all streaky and I only needed two coats.
Then I just used a dotting tool with Tranquility (purple) and Leucosia (white) to make the flowers.  I love this style of mani, it's simple to do but looks so pretty.

The next polishes I have to show are Mojito Madness and Leucosia.

I will admit, I do not wear white nail polish. It takes me back to my high school days of painting my nails with Liquid Paper lol  Plus they all seem to be so gluggy and streaky.  But Leucosia is none of those things! It's perfect in two coats. I used sticky tape to tape off the tips of my nails for a 'french' nail look. Sadly, they are not too straight.  ;)

Again, I love all these polishes! I still have a few more to show you, I can't wait to try them.
Sea Siren polishes can be purchased here, and be sure to check her out on Facebook and Instagram as well!

Till next time!

Sea Siren review

Hello lovelies!
I have something special for you today! I was recently sent some Sea Siren Cosmetics nail polishes to review, and I honestly didn't know where to start! They are all so gorgeous.

I decided to start off with a green and gold mani for Australia Day, using Mystical Atlantis and Stunning Sunset.

Both of these polishes are stunning! One coaters, and flowed onto the nail so smoothly.
This 'sugar spun' style is quite easy to do.  I followed a tutorial from The Nailasaurus to do it.
I love how the gold polish, Stunning Sunset, looks like gold wire wrapped onto my nails.

The next mani is a colour you will not seeing me wearing very often.. pink! But how could I resist this gorgeous shade!!

The pink is Gossip, and the glitter topper is Sea Glass.  I took photos in a couple of different lights, to show just how beautiful this pink is.  This is with 2 coats, and that is all it needs. I adore this pink and I must say for me to admit that, it's says alot!  I very rarely wear pink polish.
The topper is lovely as well.. I only needed one coat for this glitter payoff.

It's safe to say I am in love with Sea Siren Cosmetics polishes! I have a few more to show you yet, and I can't wait!
Sea Siren polishes can be purchased here, and be sure to check her out on Facebook and Instagram as well!

Till next time!

Swirl mani

Hello lovelies!
Today I am going to show you a mani that I saw on BreezyTheNailPolishLover's FB page, and I knew I had to try to recreate it!
Sadly, mine didn't turn out as beautiful as hers, but I am quite happy for a first try.

I used A Girl Obsessed's Time Lord (my fav blue ever) for the base. I did one coat, let it try then used a quick dry top coat.  I then did another thick coat of Time Lord, then quickly put a few dots of Face of Australia Once In A Blue Moon on, and swirled with a toothpick.
I will be honest.. this was not easy, at least for me, to do.  I am quite heavy handed, so I kept dragging the base colour and gouging chunks out of it lol
I have seen some tutorials that used a small nail art brush, I may try that next time.
What do you think of this look?

Till next time!

AN Monday - Australian

Hello lovelies!
First off, I just have to say hi and welcome to all my new Facebook likers.  I am loving how the nail art community has come together this weekend and gone on a huge #sharethelove campaign.  I have shared a few of my favourite pages on my Facebook page. :)

On to the polish!
I am part of a Facebook group that does a different theme each Monday. I actually left it for a few months as I was having trouble keeping up, but I have rejoined just in time for the Australia theme. Yay!

I used OPI Don't Mess With OPI, Sally Hansen Golden-I, and a Konad plate and stamping polish. So happy with how this turned out, I think I have finally mastered stamping!

Till next time!

Pigment nails

Hello lovelies!

Today I am sharing one of my favourite nail art looks.. pigment nails!
I first saw these on Bec from Nail Gun XS, and fell in love.  She wrote a tutorial for Lacquerheads of Oz about it, so I followed that.

I used a black nail polish as a base, then pink, purple and gold eyeshadow pigments. These are so easy to do, and actually quite fun!
Have you ever done this style of nail art?

Till next time!
