MUD Camomania

Hello lovelies!
I was just looking through my pictures folders on my laptop, and realized how very far behind I am in posting manis. I have dozens of folders in there!  So one of my resolutions is to try and catch up on them all.

The first one I will be sharing is MUD Camomania.

I love a good camo coloured polish, and this one is perfect.. a one coater, and lasted ages!  Plus, you can pick up MUD brand in Woolworths for $2- $3!

Till next time!

New year, new blog name and link, new FB page!

I have been considering changing it for a while, and figured I may as well go for it. Sadly, it hasn't been trouble free, I am having an issue viewing the site, although others tell me they are having no problems seeing it!
Anyway, here are all my new links, and will have a nails post up for you soon.  :)

Website:  http://www.lightlylacquered.com/ (although I guess you already know that seeing you are here lol)

Till next time.

Project Pan and other updates

Hello lovelies!
Hope you all had an awesome Christmas and New Years!  Ours was nice and relaxing.. for Christmas we went away for 2 nights to the Mannum Caravan Park with our family.  We had cabins right on the river, so was so nice to wake up and go sit outside with a coffee and just look at the water. For new years we did our usual, which is nothing! lol   Sat home, had a few drinks, watched movies, and asleep way before midnight. Ah, such party animals. ;)

I have to share these photos with you all.. Jan 4 was my birthday, and these are the pressies from my awesome hubby and son!

Handmade card from my son.

Canon G15 camera!

Plus the awesomest cake ever.. chocolate and surrounded by nail polish! I was certainly spoilt. :)

Ok, on with the post! I am still doing my Project Pan, and have managed to finish off 4 things so far, 2 shower gels, a hand cream and face wash.

Garnier Light face wash:
I picked this up in The Reject Shop for $2, and was surprised at how good it was.  I have problems with a lot of face washes irritating my skin and leaving it red, but this was nice and gentle. It didn't seem to do a lot for my appearance of my skin, but sadly not alot does.

Original Source Lemon & Tea Tree shower gel:
I am a huge fan of the Original Source shower gels. There is quite a few different kinds (I think I have most of them lol), they have a great scent, and rinse off completely, unlike some other shower gels I have tried. i buy mine at Coles. They are about $4, but I wait for half off sales, and then stock up!

The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom shower gel:
I will be honest here.. I bought this for the name and bottle. I have a thing for cherry blossoms!  lol I have actually had this for a couple of years. I bought it at an at home party that my cousin had, so I can't remember what I paid for it now. I looked on The Body Shop site but it says this item is no longer available for purchase. They do have the Japanese Cherry Blossom body wash for $20.95.  I was not a huge fan of this, that's probably why  it took me so long to use it. I would definitely not repurchase it.

Natio Hand and Nail cream:
I LOVE this hand cream. It's not greasy at all, and sinks right into your skin, leaving it feeling lovely and smooth.  I recieved this free from Natio after a bungle with one of their nail polishes I bought, but I have seen it in store at chemists and beauty stores for $9.95. Would definitely buy (once all my other hand creams are empty, of course ;)  ).

Till next time.

Damn you, blue screen of death!

Well, Happy Birthday to me.. my laptop decided that for my 40th birthday it would be give me the blue screen of death, and force me to reformat 3 times, losing all my photos etc.  Which means the photos I took yesterday of my awesome birthday nails are gone.  I have one phone pic that I can use ...

*ooh sparkly*

This is OPI DS Extravagance. There are no words.  Its simply stunning.

And then this happened..

*sob*

So I have now had to nubbinize.  But, then these came in the mail..

*bling bling*

So I decided to have a play around with them and some striping tape, and nails now look like this..

*more bling bling!*

Then this morning I woke up to this card from my son..

*best birthday card ever*

So all in all, not a bad day so far (apart from the loss of all my nail pics).. lol

Happy new year!

Yes, i'm a couple of days late, but I have been flat out putting together all the Lego sets son received for Christmas.  The Star Wars one had nearly 600 pieces!   Eek!  Finally all done, and its goes look awesome if I do say so myself.  ;)

Hope everyone had a great new years eve.  We had a very exciting night of sitting around the house watching tv.  Such party animals.  ;)
Even though we didn't go out, I still wanted to do NYE nails.  I decided I wanted nails that would reflect how I wanted the coming year to be, so I went with Emily de Mollys 'Harmony'.

It's such a beautiful, soft colour.. these pictures really don't do it justice.
Did you do any NYE nails?

Beads beads everywhere

Well, I had planned on doing my New Years Eve nails today, but I got sidetracked by all the new beads I bought last week, and ended up making..

I got sidetracked by all the sparklies!  ;)
I sell my creations mainly on my Facebook page at Gypsys Creations.

Ok I am off to do my NYE  nails.. I don't know why, its not like I actually go anywhere for NYE anymore.. lol    I have my polish all picked out though, I decided I want my nails to reflect how I would like this coming year to be..  piccies soon!!  ;)

Giveaway winner and Christmas nails.

Hey all!
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, hope you all had a great day!  Our was busy, but still quite relaxing as we ended up back at home for dinner with my Mum, so son got a chance to actually play with his toys on Christmas Day, which never usually happens.  He got completely spoilt, as did we all!  Here are a couple of the pressies hubby got me!

Love Thy Polish nail polishes.. they are all so awesome.

Wonder Woman handbag..  Wonder Womaaannnn.. your a wonder, Wondeeerr Woooommmmaaaaaaaaannnnnnnn!!!!!  (Yes, I lurve Wonder Woman!  lol)

Portal earrings.. this is one of my favourite video games, even though it drives me completely crazy.. lol

I am a very happy lass!  :)

I would also like to announce the winner of my 50 followers giveaway.. it is *drumroll*   Teneil M!  Congratulations hun!  I have contacted Teneil, and will be sending her polishes out this coming week.  You can check out her awesome blog at Shades of Phoenix.
Also welcome to all my newest followers.. I am now up to 100!  I can see another giveaway coming up soon.  :)

Oh and as some of you know, I also make jewellery.. I am having a sale at the moment to get rid of some stock.. 50% off everything in the 'For Sale' album on my Gypsys Creations facebook page..  check it out here!

Now for some nails!  I went for something simple for my Christmas nails, but I was very happy with how they turned out and got quite a few compliments on them.

Polish used is EmilyDeMollys Path To Glory.. look at the holo-y gorgeousness!!  I was so pleased to get this from my Secret Santa as I had been wanting it forever!  Then I used Scotch tape and striping tape to make the tree.. I think I used a Zoya polish for the tree, then just a layer of Fairy Dust over the tree for more sparklyness.  Then a star decal on top of the tree, and voilà!

Did anyone else do Christmas nails..?  I would love to see them.    :)

Revlon Galaxy

Hi and welcome to all my new followers!  I have just hit 50, so have decided to have a lil giveaway to celebrate.  There is 5 awesome polishes to win!  Check out the post below to enter.  I will also be making a page for it so the giveaway will be easier to find.  :)

Today I have on my nails a polish I had been lemming over for quite a while, and finally managed to score a bottle!  Revlon's Galaxy... sigh.  I will let the awesome polish speak for itself.

Excuse the odd angles and blurriness on some of the pics, I was trying to capture all the glitter.  Galaxy is classed as a top coat, so I have layered it over OPI Ink.  if you can ever find Galaxy, don't hesitate to buy it, its more amazing than pictures can show.

Oh, and as most if you know, I also make jewellery.  I am currently having an auction to clear out some of my older stock, and support my nail polish habit.  ;)
You can check out the auction album here.

China Glaze - Atlantis

Hey all!
Hope your having a great week so far.. ours has been quite eventful.  Son had his last dentist appointment, didn't go quite as well as last time, so am very glad its all over.  Today he has his assessment at the Minimal Motor Dysfunction Unit at our local childrens hospital, am hoping he gets in as I think it would help him alot. Also, i finally got to meet up with one of the lovely ladies from the Aussie Nails FB group I am in, and we did a lil polish swap.. yay!
Ok todays polish is China Glazes 'Atlantis', which is a bluey green with tons of holo glitter.. its beautiful!  i did 3 coats and that made it opaque, but I think next time I will layer it over SH The Real Teal, which seems to be a very close match.

Trying to capture all the holo sparkly goodness in pictures can be quite difficult, which is why a couple are blurry.  Isn't she beautiful?   :)

Woohoo!

I am going to be late doing today's This is Halloween challenge mani, hubby just bought me Windows 8 and I am busy backing up my laptop so I can install it! So excited! I had a play around with it at the store before I bought it and it looks awesome. I was told all my files will import in, but I prefer to back up just in case. ;)
I am doing this post on my iPad but hopefully I will have my laptop up and running soon.
